How it runs
- 6 weeks · 90 minutes a week
- Seats per cohort: 15 to 24
- Adults only (18 and over).
- Live sessions run on a video service; the site links to them and hosts no video.
The six sessions
Session 1
Seeing systems, and seeing yourself
The four kinds of system, and the founder's own narrator.
Session 2
The ground
Market, cash, seasons and limits.
Session 3
People and culture
Belonging, rank and incentives.
Session 4
Governance, capital and ownership
Who decides, where the money comes from, and whether those who build the institution hold a stake in it.
Session 5
Scale, partners and rivals, and the adaptive cycle
What must be redesigned as the institution grows, and when renewal should be chosen rather than forced.
Session 6
Succession and the thousand-year charter
Handing on, and what must never be traded away.
The capstone
Each founder writes a charter for their real institution, and it is peer-reviewed within the cohort. Charters are private by default and shared beyond the cohort only with the founder's explicit permission.
The founding clause
Here, founding means authorship of institutions, bounded by the equal freedom and dignity of others. Everything below follows from that.
The cohort's own space
Each cohort will have a private, moderated space for discussion between sessions. It opens once the code of conduct has had its legal review.
